If you want to grow beautiful, healthy roses but think it’s too difficult, then this is a program you won’t want to miss. Keynote speaker, Paul Zimmerman, will tell all about Establishing and Maintaining Conditions to Keep your Garden Roses Healthy and Beautiful, without using synthetic chemicals. You will learn how to select, plant, prune, and water roses, how to maintain nourishing garden soil, and which amendments will keep your blooms vigorous and foliage healthy. Paul Zimmerman, a dynamic and humorous speaker, is author of Everyday Roses, How To Grow Knockout And Other Modern Garden Roses, a consulting rosarian, and former judge of international rose trials. The symposium will also feature a panel of local rosarians answering questions to help you choose The Right Rose For Your Space. Learn which roses perform well in the District-Maryland-Virginia area. Get recommendations for roses that will grow in challenging conditions like shade, slopes, and clay soil. The symposium will conclude with a Guided Tour of Brookside’s Rose Garden. Free and Open to the Public.
